Hey everyone. So as you can tell, another guy reaching out to other guys in hopes to gain knowledge on what is going to work for me in the best way. Ive been in the market for a truck camper for about 3 weeks now. I started out looking at used campers but have not been able to find one that looks good to me for the truck that I have (2016 Ford F-250 6.7 diesel crew cab Short bed). I have had my eye on the lance brand. Just from what i hear and read, they are supposed to last and are among the best? Ive actually visited a dealer and talked to the owner about a new Lance 825. I like the lay out and it will work for me the way it is set up. Ideally during the summer i would like to be able to tow my boat and during the winter i would like to be able to haul my dirt bike. I don't want to rule any other brand out so I'm curious to see what people think. If you were me would you stick to new or used? What brand and characteristics would you look for? If i go new I don't want to spend over 25K. I know my truck does not have the factory camper package so I know I'm going to need to install a rear sway bar and possible air springs. I also know i need to get an under mount kit. Any suggestions? Mike- Pasadena, CA.
