As I narrow down my search for the "perfect" truck camper to put on my F350 SD SRW 6.2, the Wolf Creek 840 has the largest tankage I can find in a light weight camper. Adding its published dry weight and an additional 1,000 pounds puts it a few hundred pounds under my scaled payload.
If you have a Wolf Creek, how has it treated you? ![]() |

That's the model I first wanted to buy for my 150 two years ago. I liked the layout but eventually decided I wanted more space. Get in touch with Mike at Truck Camper Adventure's, he owned one before he bought his Northstar Laredo.

QUOTE(Freespool @ Feb 25 2017, 01:47 PM) That's the model I first wanted to buy for my 150 two years ago. I liked the layout but eventually decided I wanted more space. Get in touch with Mike at Truck Camper Adventure's, he owned one before he bought his Northstar Laredo. Thanks, I will. I see where he has reviews of both the Wolf Creek and the Laredo. I have considered each. Kind of a juggling act trying to get as much of what I want with as little of what I don't want. ![]() Steve |

I just noticed this morning Mike did an interview with an owner of a 850 Wolf Creek. Nolan provides some information about his camper and where he likes to go camping. The main reason I re-posted was to point out that Nolan was the victim of that wind accident where the camper blew off the truck. The picture provided should convince all camper owners to buy quality tie downs and secure them to the camper with the proper tension. Having sufficient insurance and filing the claim correctly helped Nolan avoid a potential financial disaster.
On a different note Steve, be advised that if you go with a Northwood product it is possible to custom order from there option list and even delete so called mandatory items that you don't want. Obviously you would need to order a new unit and get the order submitted before production starts. The factory or a knowledgeable dealer can tell you when the next production run will start. |
