I tried to wire my camper battery by hooking a live wire from my truck battery with a toggle switch to the camper battery. When I hooked the live wire to the camper battery there were sparks and the switch blew. Can i install and isolater and not screw up the computer in my truck(1996 dodge) or is there some other type of switch I should be using?
Thanks Ken

Two questions, did you go from + to + and did you check to make sure that the wire didn't short out somewhere? Because I really don't see why it wouldn't work that way.

I'don't think the switch liked the power going both ways? I put a ford selenoid between the 2 batteries then used the switch to it. Works good now
