I just got a 1999 starcraft sportstar 7' 1249(wet) camper. I am a little confused on the COG. It says the x=55" and the y=33(or something). If I measure from the cab back it is darn near the end of my 6.5' bed, well past my COG zone. The water tank, fridge, batter and most the heavy stuff is up by the cab end. Could it be Starcraft is one of the oddballs that measure from the rear forward? The end of the camper only sticks out about 4" onto my tailgate and it drove home(SC to Ohio) like a dream, heck I kept forgetting it was back there.
Thanks, Mark> PS> there are no markings for COG anywhere on the unit(I looked high and low). |
