Hey all, I'm researching an F-450 pickup (not cab and chassis) and Arctic Fox 992. Can anyone tell me what length supertruss will be required for this setup. Might get by with a shorter one on my boat but my car hauler has a short tongue so I definitely need to clear the camper bumper on it. Trying to go as short as possible here to maximize my potential to tow a larger boat in the future. Current trailers are under 600lbs tongue weight and 6000 lbs loaded. Future boat may be around 1400lbs tongue and 10,000lbs loaded. Anyway, I'm hoping the 24" extension will work, just wondering what guys are using.

I'm using a 36" Torklift SuperTruss extension. Maintains tongue weight capacity and towing capacity. They have many sizes available. Works with their SuperHitch.

Yeah I'm planning on using the supertruss, but since the weight rating goes down after 24" I'd like to keep it short. I am wondering what length will be necessary for an Arctic Fox 992 and a new Ford.

I would guess you would have to measure your overhang.

I know how to measure it but I don't own the truck or camper yet. The point of the big truck and camper is to tow a large boat. If the extension is over 24" I may need to settle for a smaller camper which may allow for a smaller truck.

I'm just looking for someone that tows with a 992 to tell me what length supertruss they are using. That's it.
