I am new here and looking for information on a camper I just picked up - it is really something special - but I have found little information available on the camper. It is a 1965 Kamp King Koach by McNamee - the thing that makes it so unique and special is the condition that it is in. It lived its life in a garage and was maintained meticulously by its one owner - a 90 year old farmer from utah.

From what I gather it is a Venus 8'6" model. Any information would be valuable - I talked with the farmer about it and he was really proud of it - and the condition - well it feels like a walking into a piece of history it is in new condition - and the polyurethaned wood still has a mirror like gloss throughout.

If anybody has any information on the camper, company etc, please feel free to reach out...

Welcome to TCF!!! smile.gif

That's a nice camper for a 1965 model!!!.... I like the wood on the ceiling!..It really looks great!

I've never heard of ''Kamp King Koaches''.... So I did a search.

This is the only thing I could find...(one link had info' about ''Merle D. McNamee'')

Kamp King Koaches...''A Classic Revisted''

I like the camper with the ''pop up roof and a roof deck''!!!..... I wish they still made truck campers with that option! LOL!

Thanks for sharing the pictures!

Good-Luck!
