Favorite Truck Camper(s): Bigfoot
Type and Brand of Truck(s) Owned: 99 Toyota Tacoma 4X4
Type of Tiedowns used: Happijac
Truck and Camper Setup: 99 Toyota Tacoma 4X4 with Happijac tiedowns, aftermarket heavy duty springs, aftermarket swaybar and Firestone air bags. 2002 Pastime 1000lb overhead camper that fits 6' bed.

I have a 99 Toyota Tacoma 4X4 that has been modified to carry a 2002 1,000lb Pastime camper. Mods include aftermarket HD springs, swaybar and air bags. So far, so good. But now I have to wire the camper to the truck.

Since this is a small camper, my rear truck lights show and I only need to wire in the camper running lights. The camper has a 7 way plug, but with only 4 wires. I am guessing a ground, one for running lights and one for battery. Not sure what the 4th wire is for?

The camper has a 12 volt battery, refrigerator and converter. So would I wire camper ground wire to truck ground, camper power wire to solinoid and truck battery, and camper running lights to truck? Again, I do not know what 4th wire from camper is for? Refrigerator? Possible future accessory such as electric jacks?

Any help is much appreciated. Also is there any website that shows a typical camper to truck wiring diagram? Thanks, CC.
