Need a little help and or wisdom. I pulled off one of my Rieco camper jacks to rework the camper mount due to some suspected dry rot. Got that fixed then tried to mount the jack back on. The clamps used to clamp the jack to the corner mount will not clamp down tight enough to bear the camper weight. Each time I tighten them as tight as I can get the two bolts the jack slides through the two clamps and will not bear weight. I must be doing somethink wrong. I do see some dimple marks on the each clamp and wonder about those.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Steve

Got it fixed. Shimmed each clamp with some galvinized sheet metal. Worked fine. Camper is on the truck.
