Has anyone ever used the Black-Jack roof coating ??

I just bought a 5-gallon bucket of the roof coating from Lowe's.

This is the type that I bought.

''Lowe's''.. Black-Jack Ultra-Roof 1000 10 Year White Siliconized Elastomeric Roof Coating

If so, Did you put some kind of ''patch'' down first before putting the roof coating on ??... At the bottom of the link, It shows some ''rubberized roof patch''.

Also, How many coats of the Black-Jack did you put down ??

My camper roof doesn't leak, But I thought I would put the black-Jack on in case it started leaking!, and I like it because it makes the roof ''rubber''!

I started to buy the brush on rubber roof kit from Camping World, But it sure is priced high from there... I was told that most camper dealers use the Black-Jack.

I'll be putting this on maybe next week, and I'll post pictures when I do it of the before & after!

Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks!

Bill

How did this turn out? I have an aluminum roof and am considering something similar to reduce heat from the sun.

I think this liquid can be used for several reasons like to protect worn roof surfaces, damp proof and exterior foundation walls which helps seal roof and masonry surfaces and is really good for sealing foundations.

Hi,

It turned out great!!!... It looks like a rubber roof, and feels like one too!... If anyone has an aluminum roof I would put this on it!

It also made the camper much cooler!.... I put 4 coats on the camper to make sure I would never have a leak!... But what I did was put a coat on, and wait until the next day before I put the next coat on!

It was really easy to put on too... Just make sure you wash the roof very well!

If you have any other questions let me know!

Bill
