Truck Camper Forum _ General Discussion _ What’s the best short bed truck camper?!

Posted by: Benjahlupo Nov 5 2023, 02:07 PM

Recently sold my 2001 Lance 835 truck camper. Looking for a new short box camper. I am interested in the Artic fox, adventurer and northern lite. Looking for a durable truck camper that will last. What are your experiences with these campers ?? Any tips on what would be the best option for my truck? We do mostly snow camping so I want a hard side camper with thermal pane windows, insulated, heater, ample propane, larger tank sizes and on board generator.

Depends upon the truck. Is it a half-ton, three-quarter ton, etc? You could look at Cirrus, Host Tahoe short bed, Bigfoot 1500 series short-bed, and Northern Lite makes some short bed campers. All of the ones listed are pricey, but like most everything, you get what you pay for. I had a Bigfoot 1500 series for 10 years and a Bigfoot 2500 series for 22 years. I sold both campers for half of what I paid for them making the cost of owning each of them about $500 a year.
