Truck Camper Forum _ Support Equipment _ Truck Tires for Hauling Camper

Posted by: heidilee2000 Jan 20 2021, 10:04 PM

We are getting E rated 10 ply tires for our camper truck, but have no idea what best tires itself to get. I really can't find much out there on it. The tires that are on it are 285/60R20 but there are a slew of other sizes that will fit the 8x10 rims. I was wondering if there is anyone with experience on this. Taller? Wider? Higher load rated? Same? IDK We want tires that will fit as it and frankly we spend more time on the hwy than on the forest service roads and we normally don't go anywhere my Rav4 Adventure couldnt go so want a smoother hwy ride with less road noise. I attached a photo of compatible tires to choose from. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Our Ram 2500 is rated for 3150lbs payload and we have a Lance 825.

We use https://www.riversidetrailer.com/best-truck-tires-for-towing-a-travel-trailer/. Control is top-notch, thanks to the large tread blocks on this model. I had almost no problem controlling my truck while it was raining heavily. The anti-hydroplane technology also helps remove excess water from the tread, increasing product longevity.
