Hey, new here and thinking of getting a camper.
Question for you F250 5.4L owners. ( if any ) I currently have a 2009 F250 5.4L. I tow my 19' aluminum boat with it. I really want to get a camper so I can stop sleeping in tent when I go on my fishing trips. The truck also only has the 6.5' bed. I know there are plenty of campers that fit the short bed but my question is the power of the engine. Will there be enough power to pull my boat and haul a camper? I already know the gas mileage will be horrible! And most of my trips will require a trip over the mountains. Thanks for any input and advice! Jake |

I have an 2008 5.4. I have a Lance 825 and tow
my 18 Tahoe fish and ski. No problems at all. I do have air bags in the rear. Plenty of power. That being said I am going to go diesel. |

I use torklifts on the front and bumper buttons on the rear, Firestone brand manually inflated airbags, and a rubber mat between the truck bed and camper. |

The Lance 825 or older Lance 815 are terrific. Both are 1/2 ton haulable. So what I would look for is a camper suitable for 1/2 tons. |
