What swing out brackets to you use?
I had my camper on a 2001 dodge 3500 DRW for years without problems
I just purchased a 2017 dodge 3500 DRW. It is wider than the 2001 so the swing brackets that I had wouldn't clear the fenders. I put extensions on and the jacks now clear the fenders, but now when the jacks swing inward for travel, there is only 3/8 of an inch clearance with the truck cab on each side, requiring perfect alignment when loading. I fear that the camper will move a little bit and the jacks will end up hitting the truck.
Are you seeing the same thing?
The "Fit" of campers to trucks is starting to be an issue...with cabs being taller in relation to the box floor....widths (as yours)....it also can have different CG points now....not like it used to be where most trucks and campers all "played nice"...
Yes that is close (3/8")....sounds like a custom mod may be in the works....some sort of "pool noodle" attached to the legs in question....even a small pce may stop an issue....but even a pool noodle rubbing on the truck with cause paint damage after a while....another option would be to make up some corner plates that bolt on under the existing plates that hold your landing gear....act as a spacer...but make them larger so they also become structural.....some spacers in the box so the camper can never shift once loaded properly....and of course a rubber matt really helps keeps things in place..

Keep on mind that the farther out the jack legs are in relation to the camper itself, the more stress is placed on the mounting plates. Be sure your plates are secure to avoid issues.
