Favorite Truck Camper(s): I dont know
Type and Brand of Truck(s) Owned: ford f-150
Type of Tiedowns used: rope??
Truck and Camper Setup: I would like to build a Bayou.

I am looking to build the 8ft Bayou camper from Glen-L. I have a few questions about building specs if anyone has the experience.

1. I have an F-150 with a 6 1/2 foot bed, is it ok to build the 8 ft camper and just let it overhang, or can i use the length of the bed and the tailgate DOWN to make by total length long enough for the camper?

2. My truck bed seems to fall within the correct dimensions to build except that my truck bed is an inch deeper from floor to top of bed walls than the max specs given from Glen-L. I am complete novice. I am guessing you want the bottom to rest on the bed of the truck and for the sides to rest on the rails. Assuming thats true, all I have to do is make the bottom slightly deeper correct?

3.And by doing that, it should not change any other specs on the blue prints, should it?
