QUOTE(SidecarFlip @ Jun 22 2018, 08:30 AM)
Considering the amount of traffic on ALL the other TC forums, I'd say this one is about done.  Time to close it down and move on.

Nothing to see here.

I had it on a Ford Bronco II many years ago. It was standard tranny but according to mfg it was not towable flat four. It was cable operated. I liked it ok.

I always check in pretty much when I return. When I first took this on I sat for almost 4 hours deleting and barring over 250 spam post and posters. Maybe it wont be too much trouble. I tried to get in touch with admin myself but they dont check in very often.

I have a 2010 359 Pete, 63 inch flat top, 475 Cat 13 speed. I pull recycle materials for several landfills here in Southern New Mexico, Bails of Single stream stuff(paper, plastic, cardboard) in my 09 48X102 Wilkins walking floor trailer to Tucson and Flagstaff, scrap tires over to West Texas. I also have a 3 axle lowboy that I move their grader, dozer, loader and whatnot to their jobsites. Best haul I have ever had, got keys to all their locations and I just go in and load myself, weigh it out and be gone. They leave me little notes on my windshield sometimes as to what they want done. Turn in my paperwork and they pay without question. Im on my 42 year of truckin and still love every minute of it. Ill retire at noon on the day I die.

I agree, completely. I tried reporting, but that didn't work.

Yea it happens from time to time, this aint nothin, when I first got ahold of this forum it was a mess, dont know who you could have reported it to but I got no messages about it. I drive a truck over tha road and am gone Sunday tru Wed and then reload and back on Thur night so sometimes it takes me a day or so to clear it up. Right now all seems to be good. Except Im tired and need to go camping. Not sure either why they pick on us but I can fix it with the "hunt and peck" system.

I have used Torklift on every camper and truck that I have ever had. I go into some very extreme places for a camper. I have never had a Torklift tiedown give me any trouble and I will never use anything else. My front tiedowns pull forward and out slightly and I have never had my camper move at all. Either side to side or front to back.
This forum may be a little slow but thats the way some folks like it. I took over this forum back in 06 and it had been hijacked by porn. I with help from admin got it all cleaned up and somewhat under control. Every forum starts out slow and builds a member base sometimes slowly. I also have used some of the bigger forums and found them too unpersonal(if thats a word) I once got kicked off a TC forum just because I disagreed with a Moderator and I was right.
Sidecarflip, I notice that you didnt become part of our LITTLE forum untill 2016, 10 years after I started working on this forum to kinda make it for the LITTLE people. I see you have 133 post so thank you for your input and helpful info, however, If you are not happy here please try something else and dont be saying that the forum "is not much" as it means a lot to me and the other members. Maybe someday it will be better maybe not as for now it suits me and others just fine. Not gonna debate with you or get into some long drugout conversation, just want you to be happy here or move on. You are more than welcome to discuss and even disagree with post about anything except this forum. Happy Camping, Gary

I have heard the term "breakover angle" before but it was in my Jeeping group of friends, it refers to the angle that would be the point where your vehicle(whatever it is) would turn over side to side. Ive been truckcamping for a long time and being an avid back country camper, I ve heard this called things like "tip over angle", "rollover angle", and the "oh S&%t angle", all of which I have been very close to on more than one adventure in both my camper and my Jeep. Not a fun "angle" in any vehicle. So, I guess we all learn something new everyday. Happy Camping biggrin.gif

Sounds like a plan, I dont put mine away for winter or any other time. I have spent some of the best Thanksgiving and Christmas's in my camper and I just never "put it away". Gary

If your hooked up to "city water" just turn on your faucet on the hot side and when all air is out it is full and should fill automatically, if you are dry camping turn on hot faucet and your water pump untill all air is out and as long as you have your pump on it should fill automatically.

I am a fulltimer in my fifth wheel, I also have a truck camper and all my vehicles are insured with Nationwide. Not sure how they would look at your arrangment but you could call. I personally would not tell them about the full timer thing but thats just me.
