We're relatively new to Truck Campers, having had a travel trailer and 5th wheel in the past.
One think i've always disliked is rugs! And particularly cheap shag rugs.
I've been told that slides require rugs, not sure if it is true.

Any opinions?

Thanks,
Kate

On my triple slide, the only rug is a tight weave in the cab over.
Host installs carpet on the base boards of the slides and on the steps.
I had Host delete the carpet on the steps and the base boards when it was being built.

On our Hallmark as well as some other pop-ups the carpet snaps into place and is easy to remove. It is an added cost option so it is simple to find models without carpet.

No carpet in mine either. My old Lance had carpet and I didn't like it. I prefer no dirt catching carpet.

Thanks for the input. smile.gif

We plan to change get a dual-slide after we upgrade to a DRW truck. Very happy with our Arctic fox, except for the lack of comfortable places to sit (other than outside!).

Maybe we need to order something to get it without rugs. All the photo's I see have rugs. Surprising this is considered an upgrade.

I consider carpeting a downgrade. It cover up unfinished areas. Hard flooring is much better and retains less dirt.

I have a small rug at my entrance to keep my boots and wipe my feet. Other than that I don't have any. It matches my camper and looks decent for a $1.50 garage sale find.
