Ok, so I know all about the Class V Titan receiver and extension, and about tork lifts supertruss setup. I have a jet ski that I wish to tow behind my truck and camper. The camper is 11.5 feet, so I need an extension. The jet ski and trailer are light, so light that I can pick up the tongue and move the trailer by hand easily. I can't justify forking out $700 for a receiver and extension when this is all Im going to tow. There cant be anywhere near 100# of tongue weight on the trailer. Anyone have any ideas for a lower cost alternative? Even if I have to do some welding and fabricating, it would still be much cheaper I think. Thanks guys

I tow a 18 ft pontoon and have been for 11 years with an extension I made. I have a 10 ft Arctic fox 990. I used 2x2 heavy wall tubing and fabricated a reciever on one end for a ball. you would have about 75.00 in materials. I am a welding instructor so I feel comfortable with it. Whatever you do make sure who ever would fab it know what they are doing. |

Thanks guys dont cut corners when it comes to towing ,if things go bad-no WHEN things bad back at the tow hitch, people can get hurt or even killed , save the money else where , man up and install the right towing gear |
