Oakland, Calif. I have been in every state with a camper except for North Dakota and Hawaii. I have been in Hawaii, just not with a camper. My favorite places to get away are in the Sierras. I especially love the Eastern Sierra. I love going to any National Park or Monument also. I have been in virtually every part of California, anyone coming here to visit, Fire away with questions, I will be happy to let you know great places to visit in California.

Gary Also would like to hear from folks who geochache. San Diego, CA. Silver City is a really nice area. I went through there Oct of 08. Stayed two nights, did a little mountain bike riding and geocaching. Found the "Big Ditch" (GCW1BN) and a few others on the 28th. I think geocaching is a good RVing activity. I'll probably head out that way again in April. I want to see the Trinity Test Site at White Sands Missile Range. |

QUOTE(therutherfordboy @ Jun 11 2009, 04:40 AM) HI, I'm in Glasgow, Scotland and for now all our trips in the camper have been limited to Galloway. However, we're hoping to cover the Western Isles and the Highlands over the summer and then head to mainland Europe for a month or two next year. Be interesting to see how the big truck and camper combo cope with some of the singletrack roads up north! Some day, we'd like to head back to the USA and do a grand tour in a camper. We've seen various places by SUV and tent, but reckon the truck camper would be the best way of doing it. You guys are really lucky having the huge range of amazing scenery in the one country! Martin We're interested in camping in Europe and you're interested in the USA. There may be a match down the road. Probably a lot of other people would like to camp in New Zealand and Australia - and in turn there are surely folks from there who would like to see the USA. People do home swaps, why not campers? |
