Hi All -
Figured that since I am shopping for the slide-in for my truck, I should register here for "expert" information and advice when questions arise. Recently bought a 2001 F-350 CrewCab, SuperDuty, Longbed, 4x4 with a V-10. Am planning to get a pop-up slide-in. Probably from Starcraft or Palomino. Will primarily be doing boondock camping while I search for gold in Arizona. Am retired and it is something I always wanted to try. So - now's the time. Hope to pick your brains as time goes by. Look at six pack campers if you're really needing a boondocker. I look for gold in NV and my 820 gives me plenty of comfort (read a/c) and still will get me anywhere I want to go.

I looked at the SixPac, but decided to go with a pop-up to make it more aerodynamic while driving. Bought a 1995 StarCraft StarBlazer for $2200. Just installed the Happijac tiedown this morning, so will pick up the unit Tuesday. Removed my plastic bedliner and will get the rubber full bed mat on Monday. Can hardly wait to Strike It Rich...LOL. Thanks -- Santa |

QUOTE(Spanky @ Mar 9 2008, 04:13 AM) I have a 99 F250 4wd Super Duty and I have to put a sheet of 1/2in plywood under my 95 Sun Lite and I also have a 96 Starcraft, both pop ups that I have to do the same because the cab of a Super Duty is taller than a regular cab. Just thought I would warn you ahead of time. Gary PS Plan to sell one of these campers soon. Also I am looking for the elect. cable for the Sun Lite. -------------------- 1999 F350 Power Stroke Dually Super Cab, 2003 Lance 1030

Thanks Spanky - The guy selling it said that it was possible that I would need to do that. Am picking it up next week, so will write myself a note to be sure. Santa |
