Gotta new (to me) truck and new (to me) camper.

I've seen truck/camper combos with a cushion between the camper and the cab of the truck.

I'm not finding them online, so maybe I'm using the wrong terminology. Can anyone help me out?

What are they called? Where do you get them? And do they help protect the truck &/or the camper?

My Adventurer came with rather large plastic bumpers. I removed them and installed these: http://panther-rvproducts.com/Torklift-CB-...A7001-A7001.htm. They're a bit smaller so that I can keep the camper center of gravity as far forward as possible and provide at least a little cushion.

They are called 'boots' and you can find dozens of sources by googling 'truck camper boot'. There is a problem with the cushion type boots and that is this: because the camper moves independently from the truck, the cushion is in constant motion while traveling and can remove paint from the truck and/or camper. A better solution is a snap in boot that snaps to the inside of the truck and the inside of the camper. However, with the snap in boot, you can't close the windows between the truck and camper. I've had both types in the past and I liked the snap in better. With just the two of us now, we don't need either.
