Hi, I recently aquired a 1970 Revella Model 108 Truck Bed Camper from my neighbor. I was at his house one day and asked him about it and he told me I could just have it. I towed it from his house on my trailer but I want an easier set up as my trailer is a landscaper with high sides and it was a pain getting it on there. I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500HD with the 6.7 cummins motor. It is a short bed (6.5') The camper however is made for an 8' bed. I was just curious if anyone has mounted a long bed camper in a short bed truck. When my tail gate is down I gain an extra 2' but I am concerned that the tailgate probably wont hold the rear weight of the camper. I have the orginal paperwork for the camper and the weight is 1600 pounds but I know that has to be before any accessories were put in it because this camper is heavy! Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated. If worse comes to worse I'll paint it camo and use it as a hunting blind!
