Have had my 96 lance for about 3 weeks and seem to like it so far.(camped 1 time). Thinking about adding air cond. before summer heat hits. Any thoughts on what type, (it is prewired), can it be done by me or should I get a dealer to do it? Is there a chance it will cause a leak? Also have looked at the zipp up covers for these any input on these? Can we camp in this camper when it is off the truck and on the jacks? Can it be stored on the jacks?(elec atwood jacks). Have happy jac system and can't seem to get the alignment thing down have only a couple of inches to play with betwwen fender wells any help there? Looking forward to adventures in the new camper any thoughts on maintenance(already winterized) what to wash with? Maybe resealing? Has any put a storage pod on their roof rack? This is just a few of a 1,000 thoughts for now. thanks to all Happy camping to all. Mike

There are 2 major manufacturers of Air Conditioners. Dometic and RVP (Coleman). Lance has used both brands over the years and either will work on your camper. There is probably an outlet cover next to the roof vent on the ceiling near the center of your camper. That is where you obtain the AC current to power it. The circuit breaker is probably already in the box. You would need to remove the roof vent and install the air conditioner in it's place. Most AC's have installation directions.
Lance is one of the few truck campers that can be stored and used off the truck as the floor is strong enough to support the weight of people inside without additional support underneath.
Puting a storage pod on the roof would require you to get with the manufacturer to find out where the studs are so you may lag it down to them. I would also ask them what to seal it and other vents etc with. You would want to use a similar product to what they use. Never use silicone though.

Hope this helps
