Happijac Quickloads

I got to see these on another rig over the weekend. Wow, these look so easy. I am going to search online for some. Anyone using them ? I saw the torklift ones and wasn't impressed with the thickness of the hook. Tight squeeze to get it on the eyebolt. Quickloads look perfect.

He had a Lance andsaid they were much easier to use than the turnbuckle. He said they were much quicker loading and unloading. |

Happi-Jacks make to whole ordeal easier and I'm sure other tie down brands offer the same convenince, but you need to pay attention to the details in both directions for safety sakes. Remember, a truck camper offers all the versitility needed, but go slow and deliberate in the steps to load and unload your pirized possession!! |

IMHO, the Torklift fastguns are superior to the Happijac Quickloads. They work on a similar principle, but having examined both, I feel the fastguns are better. I recently replaced my Happijac springloads with them.

Seems to me if they work the same it would be alot cheaper to get the Quickloads ($99) and adapt them your Happijac existing turnbuckles. |

Same either way, Torklift has the Derrigners for $99 which are compatible with both Happijac & Torklift springloads. The fastguns are one piece & more secure as you can lock them. I think Happijac has similar full size ones. They improved the hook on them this summer over the first ones. Both companies are quite responsive to contact. Robin at Torklift & Darrin at Happijac are quite acccesable. I know Robin personally, so I guess I probably get better service from her. I would definetely go for Torklift tiedowns when I get a new truck. They are the most sturdy I've seen.
