QUOTE(dbuckel @ May 31 2015, 06:33 PM)
I am selling a pair of front frame mount camper tie downs from fork lift. They are a no drill application and are in near perfect condition. I had these on my 2008 f-250 long bed for 1 trip and then bought a new truck. They come with all hardware.
Tork Lift Front Frame Mount Tie Down Ford 8' (Pair) F2011

This Torklift camper tie down bracket is designed to fit the following vehicles:

2008-10 FORD F250 / F350 / F450 Bed Length(s): 8'

Torklift camper tie down brackets lead industry in strength, quality, advanced design and installation. The tie downs work much like your receiver hitch allowing the tie down inserts to be quickly be removed when not in use. When the inserts are removed, the remaining brackets are virtually undetectable.

Each Torklift tie-down bracket is specially designed for each make and model of truck to fit tightly against the frame so as not to compromise ground clearance. By going away from the universal 'one-size-fits-all' approach, Torklift has eliminated problems with correct fit for each particular application. Installation is a breeze

First off I'm very new to this so please bare with me.

I am currently driving a 2001 Silverado 1500, it says my payload is 1310 to 2279 I just bought a 1995 Shadow Cruiser 850 in awesome condition! I can't find the exact weight but have been told it's under 2000, I hauled it home almost 200 miles with nylon straps and stock suspension (I know not smart)
I just bought a set of 2500 lb SD Pro series helper springs and a set of Rancho 9000XL shocks.
I also plan on getting the Torklift tiedowns.
Should this set up be safe enough to haul?
Thanks!

I'd be sure to check to load rating of your tires. Those are 4 items you do not want to go over on.

Your '96 will do fine with a 3000 lbs. camper. I ran a 3200 lbs. S&S camper with my 2000 Ram2500 QC LB SRW CTD for over 6 years with zero issues. Be sure to check the actual max load amount for your "E" rated tires. Make sure what ever your rear axle weight is that it doesn't exceed what the two rear tires are rated for. I also run air bags to help level the load out. And remember to never "over drive" your truck when loaded.

My current camper is a Lance 1121 that weighs in at 4200 lbs. loaded with all water and gear. And I'm still using the same 2000 CTD, and it pulls the weight better than fine. Although I'm in the process of up grading to 19.5 Rickson wheels and tires.

I've run Nitto 305 70 17 E TerraGrapplers in the past. They were a good tire. But I would only get about 30,000 miles from them. Then on the last 25% of life they handled horribly.

Then I switched to a Bridgestone Dueler 315 70 17 E. I also liked this tire. I got about 45,000 miles out of them. But I can't find them any more.

So I just switched over to Super Swampers Votrac 35 12.5 17 E. So far I'm liking them. Seem to wear evenly (all though I screwed one of them up because of a bad alignment).

Howdy. I'm new here, but I thought I'd add to this post.

I'm driving a Dodge Ram 2500 CTD, 4x4, Q/C, L/B. I installed a Torklift Super Hitch (the whole big um), 48" Torklift Super Truss, Torklift frame mount tiedown's, and a weight distribution hitch.

My Lance is 11' 6" long, so it's rear bumper ends right at the end of the Super Truss; there's that much overhang.

I usually tow a 20' flat bed trailer loaded up with either a well built Suzuki Samurai or several quads and dirt bikes. And of course tools, extra parts, air compressor, firewood, spare tires, etc., etc......

Awesome pictures. I was just Moab a few ago to do some sight seeing and trail running/rock cl0imbing in my Samurai. We didn't camp in any of the parks; we set up our truck campers near town.
