How do they say it? First time [writer]; long time [reader]?
Approximately one year ago, I bought a 2018 Arctic Fox 811 in a private party sale. I have loved it dearly and have had no issues with the truck camper. However, about a week ago, I noticed (for the first time) a weird, epoxy-like material on the bottom of the front shell that goes over the bed of the truck. It's located just below the curve and is 1.5 inches wide and 4 inches long. It's fairly soft to the touch--and more so in certain places, causing me some concern that there could be exterior damage or something that was covered up. There's also some black specks in the white epoxy-like material. Again, I have never noticed this before a week or so ago. I've attached some pictures to help clarify what it looks like. Has anyone run into a similar situation before or know what this could be? I've read a lot about delamination problems of Arctic Fox truck campers, but this does not seem to be consistent with delamination. Any thoughts, opinions, or advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. I want to be as informed as possible before I remove this material or take other measures. -kp |
