Hello all, just pick up my first truck camper. It is a 1992 Viking pop up camper, picked creeper list for a super price of $650. My question is, I was under the assumption that truck campers did not have tittles to them. The person I got the camper off of to had this assumption to. I was going though the original paper work to the camper and found a Michigan tittle for the original owner to this camper. Should I have this tittle researched and converted to a Ohio tittle?

I would check local laws. I have never titled any camper that I have owned. Also I was told that as long as it was mounted on my truck it is covered by my truck insurance, although I still have in insured seperately.

I agree with Spanky!

I've never had a title with the truck campers that I have owned... I like a TC because you don't have to license them or pay tax on them! smile.gif

Post a picture of your TC.

Welcome to the Forum!!!... Hope you enjoy it here and hope you stay around and post often!!! smile.gif

Nice looking camper!... I see that you have 4 jacks.. My hard-side TC only has 3 jacks, but I have another one and made the mounting plate... I'll put the other jack on this winter.

My first TC was a pop-up... I like the low profile on a windy day! smile.gif

Thanks for posting the picture!, Yeah my wife says I have too many toys also, and I'm looking around to buy a smaller boat for small lakes! biggrin.gif

The person I got it from added the 4th jack. Not sure if they are in the right places. Have no info on jack position, and they are many holes all over.

The jacks look like they are in the right place.

Where are the holes at ?.... At the bottom where the jack mount is ?

There are some about an inch back from ware they are now. Some in the middle and one set all the way back ware the bath room is. It has pushed up on the driver side, and some on the pass side. Broke the water seal and got some water damage from it. I was shocked to see they used OSB on every thing, and its not water proof glue. Once that water hits its just falling apart. But its only two small parts. Got some 2x8 yellow pine to run down the bottoms and mount the jacks off that. Should spread the load out.
