Truck Camper Forum _ General Discussion _ Finding Free Wi-Fi while on the road

I'm on the road full-time and I'm always in need of wi-fi for work. I refuse to pay for it, when there are free signals everywhere. Please share your hotspots for free wi-fi!
Generally I rely on these spots:
Starbucks: Generally has the strongest signal of all the places listed.
McDonalds
Corner Bakery Cafes
Denny??��??��??�s
Dunkin??��??��??� Donuts
FedEx: Strong Signal
Whole Foods
Office Depot
Panera: Strong Signal
Caribou Coffee
Tim Hortons
Coffee Bean
Tea Leaf
Public libraries: About half seem to need a passcode, that you can ask the front desk for.
Hotels and Motels: These are hit or miss. The privately owned ones tend not to have a password.
RV Campgrounds: Most private parks these days have free wifi.
Book Stores: They still exist? The few still around almost all offer free Wi-Fi
Large truck stops: Flying J, Love??��??��??�s, Pilot, and TA all have reliable Wi-Fi

JWire??��??��??�s Wi-Fi Hotspot Finder Ok, besides all the ads, this site is awesome. Shows you paid and free Wi-Fi signals based on your location.
Believe it or not, Google Maps can help you find free Wi-Fi as well. Go to the ??��??�????Find Businesses??��??�???? tab under the search box. Enter ??��??�????wifi hotspot??��??�???? in the first box and the address in the next box. It will show you an extensive list of paid and free Wi-Fi hotspots.

If you have a smart phone you can make it a "hot spot", at least if you're on Verizon's network. It's a very small fee and you can have it turned on or off at will to reduce the overall cost.
