QUOTE(hooter56 @ Feb 13 2017, 09:14 AM)
I think the only mistake I made was letting my wife have a say in what camper to get.  My plan was to keep it simple. Since it was only going to be me doing the camping. Then, she took interest. wink.gif

Taking my wife TC shopping with me cost us another $15K. Looking back I am happy that she went along because we ended up with one of the best when we bought our Northern-Lite.

I'm not part of the current fixation you speak of since my truck is an '03, but I am quite content with it and the Northern-Lite TC that it carries.

I bought a Reese Titan hitch and their 42" extension to pull my open trailer that I haul my ATV or Harley on. The 42" extension has a tongue weight limit of 450 pounds according to the label.

Get a horse stall mat from your local Tractor Supply Store (or equal) for ~$35 and put it in the bed of your truck for your TC to ride on. I haven't had the TC shift once since I did this last year.

QUOTE(Pat&Linda @ Mar 26 2016, 01:15 PM)
Hi my name is Linda and I'm wondering if anyone owns a northern lite camper and what year. Would like to know if you have had any problems with it. I really like the camper it's pricey but we'll built.

I have a 2016 8'11" QCSE that I bought last April. I think Northern Lite makes one of the best truck campers currently available to consumers.

Can you weld ?? . . . If not, Then you could have a local welding shop make you one.

I own a welding shop. . . I'm working on a Website so I can sell stuff online.

I make my own extension hitches and I can make any length.

Here's a picture of one that I built and use so I can pull a pontoon when I have my camper in my truck. . . This hitch is 28" long.

How much tongue weight do you typically seen when you tow your boat? Wondering about longevity too, so maybe you can comment on that since it's been a while since this was posted. I want to buy an extension for my setup, but I don't think I need the high dollar Torklift setup since I would be hauling a 6x12 open trailer with a four wheeler on it.

Thanks - Tim

Did you already sell the Superhitch and camper tie-downs? Assuming it was/is installed on your GM?
