I recently purchased a 10-2000 Northern Lite Camper it has electric happijack lifts. My question is with the camper lowered all the way down on the lifts is it wise to use the camper (sleeping etc.) with out an actual platform supporting the floor of the camper on? Thanks

I know that my PHOENIX POP UP CAMPER can sure be used this way, in fact we do use it this way often. To be sure though, I would recommend calling the folks who built yours to make sure!

I have a 6 year old elkhorn and we use it off-truck often. Just recently I brought a pair of jack stands and 4' of 2 x 4 and supported the front floor just a bit. This really helped take any wobble out of the front of the camper. The rear has always been more stable because the rear jacks are mounted in several spots as opposed to the fronts which are only mounted on top.

I have a Northern Lite 8-11 with the electric jacks. The factory told me it was fine to use the camper on the jacks. Not true for many wood construction units.
