Hello Everyone Names Chris Im New here and New to the Truck bed Campers. I have owned an RV before so not totally ignorant.
I was just given a 1974 great divide 11.5 Camper. Along with this came a Loader device that I am told you mount to the edge of the tail end of your Truck. It has a Gear and on the Camper there is a track. Once up in the truck bed It has a coupler on both front corners of the bed and then it slides into a locking coupler on the back as well.
The question I have is has anyone ever seen or used such a device? Does it work? Will it secure the camper to the Truck? I am not a rich guy and if it will work that would be great as the Tiedowns are quite pricey and I would love to be using this camper as it is in great shape. Any help I would thank every much

the camper i picked up from my folks has that set up. as long as the easy on fits your bed it works wonderfully. the one my dad gave me fits his ford but not my chevy, it will secure the camper from sliding but you need the steak pocket tie downs or some other tie downs to secure it to the bed. the steak pocket tie downs worked well the last time my dad had the camper on his truck in the 80's, a major gust of wind almost flipped his truck the campes stayed put. I hope this helps. Gerry
