Full Version: How unlevel is too unlevel to unload?

I hope I'm not rehashing an old subject here.

I know "the more, the better" is clearly in play when it comes to having the truck/camper level to unload, but how unlevel do some of the fellow TC owners here have their units prior to unloading? Having the unit level at home is easy on the RV pad. My concern is when I'm in the woods for a few days and I want to unload the TC to have the truck available for transportation. I have the attached set of levels on my Arctic Fox and I'd be a little nervous trying to unload with anything more than a number "2" in either front-to-back or side-to-side "unlevelness".

Am I being unreasonable?? Comments??

I take my lance 981 to the woods and will unload it when the ground is very unlevel front to back but I'm a lot more carefull when the ground slopes side to side. My biggest concern is that if I dont block the legs enough and if they sink into the ground even w/pads then I won't have enough extension to get the camper high enough to back the truck under! As long as you keep the camper level when jacking it up, the ground can be very unlevel and you can still take it off.
