Man, a lot of work. I have seen so many folks run out of energy on restoration projects as they take a long time and a lot of commitment.

You have the same rot/water damage at the front drivers eyelet. Have you started your repair? I'm starting mine Monday.

Hi,
i have remove the Mattress yesterday, under it i foud a lot o Moisture traces. So i remove the rotten wood and find a older repair.
Someone put a weldet Steelframe in but they dont change the also rotten sidewalls and the Steelframe ist not srewed to the Frame. So its a stupid bullshit repair, i will take some Pictures.
My plan is to remove the planking and restore the complete front, wood be nice to see pictures from you, maybe we can help eachother.
This Program makes Pictures here realy easy: http://picr.de/ works great without registration, than only copy and pace!
Best regards

Torsten, you need to pick up mine... No issues like that...lol
You and I both know, when there is a soft tie down, chances are it's rotted wood on the sill plate above it.

Hi Flip,
that not that easy, because the one from you is for my son , so the old guy must show what repairworks he can do
but hey! the Camper was for free, i like woodwork, wood is not that expensive and everything work on this unit.

Hi, after a long time waiting for dry and warm weather (we never had so mutch rain in the Summer like this year)
i start do disample the Lance, i remove all the Aluminiumplanking and find some damage and rotten wood now i can start to make a plan what wood must be replace and how i can do it.
The front of the Camper comes down around two inch in case of the stupid repair that was made years ago in a RV Shop in Arizona, i hope they go bust with there business, because they do not know what they do, and they damage more as they repair.
But the Homepage on the older invoice (preowner paid $2000 for this repair) is not longer online, so i hope they dont damage any Camper or RV in the future!
Best regards

Not a lot of damage. A few more hours, a few dollars for wood, and many hours of cleaning and you've got a really nice Lance!
Get rid of all that OSB. Amazing Lance used that junk. Replace it with CDX treated with Marine Spar and you'll never regret it.
Enjoy your project and the great outdoors!

Hi DW,
not Lance use the OSB, that was an RV Shop that repairs the Camper with this Junk!
Flip you are right

OSB is terrible stuff. Easy to work with, contains chemicals know to cause cancer in lab animals, very prone to water uptake and rot.
Torsten, I'd yank all that spun glass wool water sponge) insulation and replace it with block foam insulation. Easier to work with, no itching and better R value.
Better off with an aluminium skinned camper. Filon skinned campers are 10 times harder to work on because removal and replacement of the Filon (fiberglass sheeting) entails a complete removal of a side (and complete replacement) and Filon is bonded to the inner substrate, a real PITA to repair.
