Hi all glad to be a part of the forum.
I have a quick question as I am new to the forum. I recently bought a 1992 Skamper 950.....of course when I bought it the guy told me no leaks (spent a week removing all the rotted wood and fixing leaks!) and that everything worked (frig doesn't work and toilet leaked!). I am not too worried about the fridge and I was able to fix the toilet. My question is when I have it hooked to the truck what should work? I have the full bathroom, there is a water pump, fridg, water heater, heater, AC and stove. Is there something easy that could be fixed to make these things work. I check the fuses, but didn't know what else could be wrong.
Problem is I live in Maryland I have found that very few people know or have truck campers around here I was there was someone who could teach me some of the basics. Thanks
Mike

If you have a good strong battery in the camper and everything is in working order, then it should all work on or off the truck. The fridge works on propane. If it works on battery power( which on that model, I don't think it does) then you will need a very strong battery and have it plugged into 110v or driving down the road. A battery operated fridge will eat up a battery fast. Also after plugging into the truck check that your inverter is working and charging the battery. Tell me more. Also you might pull the fuses out and clean them up or replace them. Sometimes when a camper is not used for awhile the fuses can coriod especilly if it has been damp inside.

Fridge works on both propane (don't know how it works). I got the lights to work (cleaned fuse)...but it drained my battery on my truck (brand new)...I don't have a battery on the camper its self?
Anyway we could talk via phone?
Thanks
