I am wondering if I will need to add airbags for this light rig
I am purchasing a Northstar TC650 popup Weight 1385 (dry) and will be towing a small fishing boat with about a 300 lb tongue weight
Truck 2004 F150 with a recommended suggested payload capacity of 1680
Given the relatively light weight and low profile will I need airbags?
Thanks for your advise

Depends on how much other stuff you have in the camper and how much stuff and how many people in the truck. You will get to your weight limit faster than you think. Put the camper on...if the truck sags, you will have your answer.
PS I think the answer will be yes

By the math, you are already 5 lbs. over the recomended load capacity. You have not put any supplies or people on yet. You are asking a 1/2 ton to do the work of a 3/4 ton.The truck will probably do it, but don't ask too much more from it. I wonder about brakes being adequate enough, because you will at some point want to stop. Think about it, in a panic stop, is the boat going to push you beyond where you need to stop?
So, yes, air bags or more spring will help the capacity and stability issues, but will do nothing toward helping you stop. Myself, I'd look into an F250, more brakes, more load capacity, more truck. When it comes to my familys' safety, more than enough is better than just enough!

If you decide to get them, it looks like you will need
2350 Ride Rite Air Bags.
