We finally got the propane line repaired. We are going to test the system out tonight, any words of wisdom? We are a little nervous about firing up the firdge, stove, and heater. The hot water tank is not an issue because it is damaged and we just have the end capped.
We of course are going to check for leaks at all the fittings we can see. Is it possible to put the air compression on the system to see if there are any leaks? There is one line that goes through the frame work to the hot water tank that we can not get to. We have been able to find the rest of them. Just a little worried about that run.
It is an 86 SunLINE and a few people have told us that the fridge does not need electricity to operate while on gas.

Yes, do a "Leak Down" test before hooking up the propane. My dealer told me that this should part of the annual maintenance on my camper.
you need to pressurize the system with air (not propane), close it off and monitor to make sure the pressure doesn't drop. If this is Ok then your propane plumbing should be fine. I'm not sure what pressure you should take it to. High enough to be able to detect leaks but not too high so you damage seals. Once you're finished this test (and it passes), hook up the propane any try out the appliances. It will take more than a few seconds for the propane to purge the air out of the lines. I'd test the stove top first since you can hold a flame to it while the lines purge and it will light once the propane is there. You're fridge and furnace may make a few attempts before they actually light for the first time.
Your fridge does not need AC Power to operate but it does need 12Vdc to run. It always needs 12V to run the controller. The propane is used in the burner which heats the ammonia, when it flips to AC power, the AC power is only used to run an electric heater which heats the ammonia, all the controls still run off 12V.

I agree with what Aqualung said!, and not much more that I could add.
Good-Luck!, and I hope all goes well!

We did get a pressure gauge to pressurize the lines. We kept the tests to 3lbs, got all the fittings tight, but kept losing pressure and it was driving me crazy. After about an hour and a half of spraying and spraying and spraying for leaks I got the bright idea of spraying the brand new frickin' pressure gauge and alas, that is where the leak was.
Got the tanks hooked up and let'er rip. The stove and oven worked, did not test out the heater and the fridge would not light. It does have the push button lighter, but I could not get it to light. Any suggestions? We did finally get it to work on electric so it at leasts works one way.
Thanks a bunch!

Keep trying the fridge. Mine takes quite a few tries to light. It is a small orifice so it takes awhile to bleed air from the line and get fuel to the burner.
