We bought a 1998 Fleetwood Angler. Pretty good condition, but we want to replace the main foam mattress over the cab and fix up a few other things. I am having a heck of a time finding a source for the 4" x 7' x 5' foam piece. And another item I'm having trouble finding locally is floor or counter trim. A small section of floor has peeled back from the trim and even our local RV store doesn't have replacement trim, which really surprised me. I don't care if it matches what is on there (what's there is pretty weird looking - little random sized white plastic pieces that looks like it has glue or is self-stick and bends in the middle so one section is on wall and other goes along top of flooring). Right now, to repair the floor I'm leaning towards some dots of gorilla glue and putting weight on the floor until that cures - I've gone everywhere to find this trim or anything that will work.

What are the rest of you doing to find interior replacement parts on campers that are not brand new? I haven't even started to look in to finding a new spring for the freezer door, but can imagine that will be a challenge too.

The foam mattress I am at a loss about getting. I've called mattress stores and upholstry stores and was quoted $266 - 299 for the size I need. Seriously?? In my mind this is a $30 item, but perhaps I am delusional? Again, what have the rest of you done when replacing this foam? Ours had some water damage, so I removed it and gave it away. Sure regreting that move now! No wonder those people who took it were so happy!

Cindy, I just bought a Fleetwood Elkhorn, 1992. I know what you are going through. You might try a marine supplier for the mattress material. I have a place bookmarked but I will need to find it. Where are you located? I would like to compare some things on our campers.

Cindy, first Congratulations and welcome to the world of Truck Camping smile.gif

As for the foam, I would either get an air mattress (something like what you might find at the local Wally World) or spend the money and put a good mattress in. If you're not sleeping comfortably, most likely you won't want to use the camper (I know I wouldn't blink.gif

The molding, flooring, etc., I would check with Home Depot or Lowe's (or any other home improvement store).

Best of luck and most importantly . . . E N J O Y cool.gif

Hi Cindy!

We took out our foam, and put an ''air -mattress'' in..... It's a lot better!

Someone already mentioned it, But you can get all your molding/trim and what you need to fix the floor at Lowe's!

Good-Luck!... Keep us posted!
