I am a new camper owner (well, camper is a 1998 Angler) and need to know what I am going to need for the self-containment system to keep happy and working.

Don't want to buy all the latest and fanciest, just what works. I look in the RV store & catalogs and am overwhelmed.

Is Scott's toilet tissue Ok to use in RV toilets? What kind of chemicals and 'freshners' or odor control is needed? Anything else?

Hope some experts will weigh in so I can just get what's needed and not waste my money on what isn't.

Thanks to all for your help!

The Scott single ply will work in an RV toilet system. We use the 2 ply Thetford toilet paper from Wal-Mart. It is quite a bit more costly, but worth the money in my book. The Scott single ply is almost like using your bare hand. We use the blue toilet pills that you can also get at Wal-Mart. If you use household toilet paper, you can seriously mess up your RV black tank system.

I agree. Use the 2-ply RV tissue from Wal-Mart. I have not used the blue pills. I use the Thetford stuff also available at Wal-Mart. It comes 6 bottles to a box and I use half a bottle in the black tank after each dump (of the tanks, that is :<).
