huh.gif So yeah I'm new to the camper thing... does the camper's 12V system run from the trailer hook-up on the truck? If so, does it just come from the converter? I bought my '88 Six pac 7.5' for $500 only missing a front window and a table... the exterior is super clean as is the interior. When i got it, there was a trailer light wire in the sink that looks like it had been severed and I am trying to figure out where it attatches to and if it is the source for all the 12V systems or just the running lights. Also, none of my interior lights work even when plugged into shore power... so do these only work when I have it plugged into the truck? Thanks!

Almost everything in your TC runs off of 12 volts supplied by your camper battery.Your battery gets recharged when connected to 110 volts or your 12 volt supply from your truck. Microwaves and air conditioners typically need 110 volts. I have heard of supplying 12 volt power from truck to TC via the trailer wiring but my camper has a 7-pin coupler seperate from the trailer wiring. This is much nicer! I'd guess the severed wire supplied 12 volts to the whole camper, not just the lights. Does your TC have it's own battery?
