I've got a 2000 F250 Supercab V10, bed length approx 6.5". I'm interested in buying a used camper. I found an information sheet in my owners manual with instructions for camper loading/matching. Right above the instructions it says "YOUR PICKUP IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CARRYING SLIDE-IN CAMPERS". What's up with that? Do all pickup manufacturers say this just to cover themselves from liability? Please help, I'm itching to go camping!!

my 99 f350 quad cab dually w/ 7.3l deisel says the same thing.

funny thing is a few years ago i rented a trailer from uhaul to haul a car, there system said my f350 didnt meet there standards. but my 93 dodge regular cab dually did. go figure. (i used my f350 anyways)
