Considering the amount of traffic on ALL the other TC forums, I'd say this one is about done. Time to close it down and move on.

Nothing to see here.

I have noticed a large decrease in traffic on camper only forums. Forums that include other RV's have more traffic.
More traffic isn't necessarily a good thing if the information is wrong.
I just replied to your post on RV.net about dual alternators. Everything you posted was wrong.

Maybe for a late model, not my 97. Far as Gates is concerned you have to specify with a Fleetrunner Green Stripe if it has dual or single alternators. Go look for yourself.

But then you and I don't see eye to eye on anything and candidly, I don't care. You stay in Granola land and I'll stay in the rust belt. I hold out hope that Kalifornia succeeds from the Union before you run out of fresh water and have to come begging for water from the Great Lakes states. Won't happen either. All the Great Lakes States (and Canada) have entered into an agreement about water rights. You people are cooked soon as Lake Mead dries up and it appears to be getting pretty low.

Keep your politics and liberal views out there where they belong. We don't want either.

This forum has zero participation and has for a while. Truck Camper Adventures does, so does RV Net and so does the NATCOA site.

Here you again, stating opinions as though they were facts.
First, the poster you replied to on RV.net was asking about a 2007, he didn't need outdated 20 year old information that he could not use.
Second, I sold my 7000 acre ranch and moved to Oregon, I still have 640 acres in California.
Third, you act as though all of California is desert. I used to live in the Redwood rain forest that averages 100" of rain per year. We have no water problems.
Lake Mead is in Arizona and Nevada and is over 600 miles from my place, what happens to Lake Mead has no relevance to the Northern part of the state.
Fourth, my political views are to the right of Attila the Hun, so wrong again.
Here is some advice, stop stating your opinions and assumptions as facts, you what they say about people that assume.
Fifth, it is apparent that you don't know that nearly 1/3 of the diesel super duties require dual alternators. On start up(especially in the Winter), my truck sucks up over 250 amps.Supplemental heat alone is 110 amps.Add in the 30 plus lights,4 cameras, heated seats, steering wheel, stereo, Nav system cooled seats etc. we are talking about a lot of amps.
Get into the 21st century, a lot has changed.

I posted something on one of the other TC sites that some of the older "senior" members took exception to, and was called every name in the book, including SideCarFlip. I rarely post anymore on any site because of the "expert" trolls who are just grumpy old men. I read the posts that I want some info on, but don't sign in anymore, and rarely comment. They seem to be content to spank anyone they don't agree with. Sign of the times!

I have surfed thru this site often and was taken back by one of the posters as some people actually post because they are in need of a strait answer to a problem they are having and have, in my opinion, been sent away with BS comments by some of the above people because they think that their way is the only way of solving problems. I read and can talk about mechanical problems with the best in the racing fraternity and have been thru many years of RVing with many forms of camping equipment and DO NOT agree with some person ridiculing a newby for asking a question. It is no wonder there are no postings for a long time as people get fed up of the arrogant BS replys. This is my take!

I agree that there are some folks that are less than friendly and can be down right rude. Maybe if you can't be civil you should be banned from the site.

Hey Everybody....Hope all are getting out and enjoying the lifestyle as much as possible !.....
Unfortunately forums can be more about "beating your chest " and "bragging" than sharing helpful (accurate ) information....I am a Radio "Ham" also.....you should see what goes on in some of the ham radio sites.....I am afraid many of the participants never did move out of their moms basements.....HAHA.....

Im sure participation goes down a bit in the summer as many are out enjoying their RV's

We have yet to find time to get on the road....I have loaded the camper but still have weeks of work here on the farm before we can get out.....Heck there is still antifreeze in all the lines....Maybe sometime in August...!...Stray safe !

Thanks skyhammer, someone needed to to put the "buzz kill" in his place. This sight did at one time have more interest but as all of you know, websites like this one need a constant source of input with interesting information. Once a site acquires an intolerant know it all it's future becomes uncertain. I stopped posting mainly because I am working 70 hours a week and simple have no time. The constant abuse from one individual was my second reason. I still occasionally visit the site but I always take a few minutes to see what's new at Mike's site, Truck Camper Adventure. Mike is retired and very active in the world of TC's. His site reflex's the amount of time he works on it. For those of you that are new to this site, skyhammers contributions to this site have continually been the best post's. The experience and knowledge of so many subjects skyhammer possesses is truly remarkable. Some people listen to EF Hutten, I listen to skyhammer.
