Hi everyone, I was about to replace my old good awning with a new one. I had a regular awning that we use to give shade in summer. At the moment I started thinking of a full-size awning that is like an additional room. Yes, it is more expensive than the regular awnings, but to me such awning looks like a reasonable investment.
I was looking at this awning, which is above the average price line: https://www.camperid.com/carefree/carefree-...-414895322.html . Yet I think of an awning as of a long-time investment, so I am ready to pay for it. Yet if I am paying for something, I meed to be sure about its qquality, you see. That's the reason why I am posting here. Any comments, thoughts or just feedback about these things from your experience are highly appreciated! |

Our first t/c came with a awning add a room that was only used maybe twice and was a carefree unit. It was not able to be used whilst the camper was loaded in our truck as the walls were not long enough to reach the ground and attached to the awning in a mickey mouse way that defied reason . I guess I like simplicity as you needed a ladder to install it properly and have yet to see another in all of our travels. Looking at your picture makes me wonder as the setting is attached to a tow behind trailer not a t/camper. Ours was on the passenger side of a 2009 Travellite mountainstar 1100XLultra. Our truck is a 2007 GMC sierra 3500 cc dually with no lift on the suspension. Before purchasing I would want to see this unit on a t/c mounted on a sizeable truck. A fair amount to invest by a picture not even on a t/camper. Sorry but that is my observation after having had one.

Wow, that is a screened room, is there a “apron” under the truck, our mosquitos are incredibly sneaky and can find the smallest opening.
