Hello Everyone,
We are having an ongoing problem with the electric jacks on our Lance camper. Example, when using the button to extend or retract all jacks, all jacks may initially move but one will stop and the others sometimes pulsate. Its not always the same jack that stops. When using the individual buttons, one will always stop functioning before the camper is loaded or unloaded. Have gone through the problem-solving checklist that came with the camper with no results. Have any of you experienced a problem with the electric jacks? Any information you may have will be greatly appreciated. Regards :( |

Rodg here, sounds like you have an electical problem. first ck your positive and negative connections to your battery. take the wires off the battery, clean the terminals with a wire brush. reconnect and see if that works. also ck the voltage out put on your battery. you might just have a battery going down and you are not getting enough juice to the motors. i would clean the terminals, if that didn't work i would try another battery. what you describe, alternating problems with more than one jack usually means a power supply problem, half dead battery would be my guess or dirty battery terminal connection. you need to get a full 12 volts to the motors, an ohm meter can check that also. if it is not the battery connection or the battery then you are going to have to ck and see if you are getting a full 12 volts to each motor with the ohm meter. if not, you must have a lose connection some where or a wire that has rubbed up against something and is shorting out.

My Happijac instructions say that they are programmed to shut off after extended operation to ensure that they are not being operated accidentally.. Hold the "all up" button and the "all down" utton at the same time to rset the controller.

Hey, mine does it too depending on where i'm standing..... I thought the battery in the controller may be going but I haven't changed it yet... If i'm standing at the back door "open" or alongside, it works fine.... Otherwise it's on and off and on and off and on and off and it's only on all up or all down......

QUOTE(buck44 @ Aug 29 2007, 08:34 AM) Hello Todd, Thanks for your reply on the electric jacks. I found the wire terminals for the electric jacks were loose on the control panel. After tightening them, three of the four jacks work fine. I am going to solder all connections to eliminate the possibility a poor contact due to oxidation. I noticed you have air bags on your truck. How much air pressure do you use when you have your camper on the truck?? |
