Hi, if you've weighed the camper you might want to post the dry weight. It looks like a great buy.

I have not weighed it. I believe the Lance product literature has it around 2400 lbs.

If you wasn't too far away, I would buy it ''real quick''!!!

I seen on another camper Forum where a guy is looking for a truck camper.

I copied all of the details and the link to this thread and sent him a PM.

I hope that helps you! smile.gif

I bought it.

After exchanging email agreements about condition including assurances of no water damage, wood rot, or mold. I sent a deposit and later drove 8 hours to pick it up. Seller was extremely straightforward helpful and friendly. I took a quick look and we loaded it up.

Unfortunately, when I got home and started pulling things out to clean and move in I discovered massive water damage behind the dinette cushions. The big window apparently had been leaking for quite some time. Ended up having to tear out the entire side and rear walls below the windows as well as the dinette seat. It was ugly. The structure was so rotted the tiedown rings came out by hand. I'm glad I made it home without the camper falling off! There was even a couple of carpenter ant colonies hibernating in there.

I don't think the seller was aware of this problem but who knows. I was a complete idiot to not make a more thorough inspection before handing over the cash.

I used my anger and frustration to fuel and intense weeklong reconstruction effort. I wasn't able to find a perfect match for the interior paneling but came close enough that you can't tell unless looking very closely. Structurally it's as good as new now. Hopefully the smell of new paneling insulation and wood will eventually overpower the lingering mold smell.

So be glad you didn't buy it!
