Hey All,

I've found my truck of choice, haven't bought it yet but it's the one, and I'm trying figure out which camper/s might fit into it.

The truck is 2011 Ford Ranger 4x4 Sport with a 6 foot bed. With the tailgate down, that becomes 7'4". So here's my (presumably) stupid question: can the camper hang over onto the tailgate? Can it hang beyond? Is there a threshold for this hangover, and if so, what is it? I've read a bit about center of gravity issues being too far back, so how would I measure this before even buying the camper? Will the camper seller let me load it up and test it out or take it to a CAT scale?

I am very ignorant on all of this, so please be gentle.

Well since no one responded, the answer is….NO.

Take the tail gate off and use it as a coffee table
