Hello,
I would love to here other people's techniques for boon docking.

Here are some of mine:
Things to look for:

- Public restrooms near by.
- Utility options such as water, power, etc. sewage
- Safety of the area. Pay attention to the safety of the community, look for indication of flooding or dead branches overhead etc.
- Wi-FI

Technique:
- Try not to stand out too much. Don’t unload everything around the camper. Try and keep your area as neat as possible.
- Be adaptable
- The longer you stay in one location the more noticeable you will become. Find a second camp to hang out during the day and go back to your original spot as late as possible, just for sleeping. If you’re staying for a while, find several spots in the area and rotate daily.
- Courtesy: Know the local attitude toward RVs and campers. Some communities have had bad experiences in the past. Ask around before setting up shop. Have respect for the people in the area.
- Trust your instincts

Where to look for free and last minute RV Parking:
Wal-Mart
24 Hour Fast Food and Grocery Stores
Strip Malls and other large shopping areas
Closed Big Box Stores
Truck Stops
Highway Rest Areas
Hospitals
Motel, Hotel Parking Lots
Churches
Casinos
Apartment Complexes

A great resource for Free RV Parking
