I am looking at different types of truck campers with slide outs. I am wondering if there are models where you can access the bunk and/or bathroom with the slides in?

We have an Artic Fox 811. It has a sliding bathroom door. I can barely get into the camper with the slide in, but I can do it (36" waist). I can also get to the bathroom with the slide in. That said, when we stop and need to access the camper, I usually bump out slide a few inches. Much easier access.

Key is to remember to put the slide back in after those quick stops. I have almost done it a few times. I have learned to do a mental check list, and check my passenger side mirror prior to pulling out.

I do not know if the Lance models have similar access. I expect so

Type of Tiedowns used: Happijac with Quick Loads
Truck and Camper Setup: 2005 Chevy 3500 4x4 Edge Attitude, 4" exhaust, Airaid Air Intake, Ranchos, Air Bags, Hellwig Big Wig, Cabover struts. Lance 1172 loaded with 200 watt Renogy solar and Zamp controller

The DW and I have been looking for a slide TC that allows access to the bathroom with no success. When we owned a Lance 1181 we could squeeze through without opening the slide, but on our current 1172 that is a no go since we have a back slide. What we are finding on all the manufacturers that we have looked at is that they are making the slides deeper which in turn puts them deeper into the unit when fully retracted.
