Recently purchased a 1974 Chinook Mobile Lodge TC. It has a rounded fiberglass capped roof -- this unit is CLEAN!
However -- I am trying to locate any information on it. I've been to Chinook's website, but that is mostly about the history of the company and the Toyota MH. Know anyone that has one that might be able to answer a few questions? Like, what the heck is that brass spigot on the back of the camper? I'd really be interested in an owner's manual. Thanks! |

Best I can tell is you are talking about a 1973 Chinook Mobilodge. the list below is pretty exhaustive and they appear to be made until 73 then there was the Chevy chalet (cool!)
you have to pretty much google the crap outta every possible name search. I have had toyota chinooks since '81 ('76 and current '77) 1961-1973 Chinook Custom Pickup Camp Coach Chinook Cayuse slide-in truck camper Chinook 1400 Chassis Mount Chinook Mobilodge 2200 ? 1971-1973 Chinook Mobilodge 2500 1971-1973 Chinook Dodge Maxi-Van Chinook Chevy Trail Wagon 1971-1977 TrailWagons Chinook M-18 PLUS TrailWagons Chinook M-2000 1973-1978 Toyota Chinook Round Tripper, Gazelle or MPG ??Άβ??¬????Pop Top??Άβ??¬???? Thank you so much for that information.
What we purchased is a Chinook slide in truck camper - the label on the back says Mobile Lodge. The closest I can come (going by the floor plan and what little literature there was with the camper) is that it may be a 1060 series truck camper. I've had a few people tell me that their parents used to have one, but I have not found any one who can tell me more about these truck campers. If anyone has experience with these vintage campers...? I should post pics when we get some of the updates done. |
