OK, we are new at the truck camper world, and we need some help choosing one. If you look at all of the features on the campers, its your preferences that you can choose. But i need advice on the most reliable camper to choose. We want one that is easy to service, wont end up with and issues with the inside or the outside like cracking and or poor craftsmanship etc. I have looked at Northstar, Chalet, Northern Lite, Eagle Cap to name a few. i like tham all for different reasons, Does anyone have any advice?
and we will be getting a new truck one of the following 1/2 ton 4x4's- Chevy 1500, Toyota Tundra, or a Nissan Titan. not sure what to go with here either. advice is welcome! thanks, Bill |

Welcome to the forum, Personally I like Lance campers for hardsided and Starcraft for pop ups. Buying a 1/2 ton truck is gonna highly limit you to which camper you get because of weight both camper and GVWR. I would look at getting at least a 3/4 ton truck.

I have had no problems with my 1030 Lance except the motherboard on my jacks went out once, replaced it and works great. Expect some problems with all campers for if they ever make one that will never have any issues, that will be the one everybody will own and it will cost a million dollars.

You are going to eliminate the possibilty of most of the campers you mentioned with a 1/2 ton. |
