Favorite Truck Camper(s): Not sure
Type and Brand of Truck(s) Owned: 2001 F350 4x4 extended cab 7.3
Type of Tiedowns used: Torklife
Truck and Camper Setup: F350 Air Bags supper hitch to pull 21 foot full cabin Parker boat. New to truck camping 2016 bought the camper 2014 be went back overseas for two years so it just sat in the drive way. Camper is 2001 Laredo Alpainelite

I have a 2001 Ford F350 7.3 diesel with a 2001 Alipenlite Laredo 10 new to truck camping. I had air bags and super hitch with extender install so we can pull our boat 21 ft Parker full cabin. When fully loaded with the boat on running 60 pounds of air in the bags maximum is 100 the rig runs down the road very nice no lack of power and feels very stable. When running the camper only 60 pounds in the air bags seems a little tippy some of the roads here in North Carolina are not the best like many states. I am considering going with an automatic air system reading reviews of several models they are mixed. I am planning on converting the truck into a flat bed and with go with a custom build to keep it at the same height it currently run I have 5” of clearance over the cab not and do not want to increase or decrease the clearance. Long term plan is to travel when I retire with this camper of a new one around the same size and weight wet weight of camper, gear and passengers around 4000 LBS. Not sure how much I will pull the boat but will some any way. My question is what are experienced truck campers using for auto level control? I wanted to get the total weight the only truck scale I have found is 50 miles in the wrong direction from where we went camping this week.
