I discovered that my truck and camper will not fit into my new canopy shelter with the camper in the bed of the truck. Misses by 6". So I built a set of dollys to roll my camper back into the shelter after unloading it from the truck.

I didn't want to roll it around using automotive wheel dollys, because I didn't want to put that much stress on the jack legs, so I started with 4 hard-wood furniture dollys from Harbor Freight with a capacity of 1000 lbs each, and then built them up with 2"X4" alternately stacked and screwed together until they were 11.5" tall. (see pic) I included a built-in slot for the under floor support to slot into to prevent the dollys from moving if the weight shifted unevenly while rolling it.

They work great! With the camper lowered onto the dollys, the jacks retract to 1" of clearance from the floor/driveway, and by using a rope to pull and my wife to help guide, the camper rolled right into the shelter.

Now my wife wants me to make all the cuts perfectly even and stain the wood and then carpet the top "so it won't look so ugly". dry.gif

I went and bought an old used single axle boat trailer for 300 bucks and I use that to set the camper on and roll it in the garage and it stays under it all winter. Simple. cheap and I can move it around with my quad.
